Abstract
This study employs CiteSpace, a knowledge graph analysis tool, to select core literatures in the field of English writing teaching in China and foreign countries from 2015 to 2025 as research samples. A systematic analysis is conducted from three dimensions, overall characteristics of published papers, clustering of research hotspots, and evolutionary paths of trends. The results indicate that foreign research on English writing teaching centers on integrated writing tasks, presenting distinct research focuses and developmental trends in different stages; domestic research, however, revolves around continuation writing and other content, forming research hotspots and trends with local characteristics. Through the analysis of these contents, this study aims to provide theoretical references for related research and offer valuable insights for writing education.
